Artezen Café Gazebo
Just up the road from our own front door on Naturaliste Terrace, this project gave Artezen Café a covered outdoor gazebo to extend its dining space year-round. The structure adds all-weather seating without losing the relaxed, open feel that makes the café a Dunsborough favourite — more tables in summer, shelter through the wetter months, and a build quality that’ll stand up to coastal conditions. Working around a live hospitality business meant a tight, low-disruption program, and the whole build was wrapped in two weeks with the café trading throughout.

A robust covered structure engineered for Dunsborough's coastal conditions, designed to read as a natural extension of the café rather than an add-on. The open form maintains airflow and the relaxed alfresco feel through summer, while the solid roofline delivers genuine all-weather cover. Materials and detailing were kept consistent with the existing building so the whole frontage reads as one.
Landscaping
Hard landscaping ties the gazebo into the café's existing frontage — level, durable surfaces underfoot that handle high foot traffic and coastal weather, with planting kept simple to frame the seating area without crowding it. The result reads as one continuous venue rather than a bolt-on.
